FITNESS FOR SERVICE - FFS

Fitness for Service (FFS) – FFS is performed using clear and technically justified procedures that ensure consistent predictions. In this way, this service becomes an assessment technique to know whether an equipment with volumetric (thickness loss) or planar defects (cracks) can continue in service

Spherical Gas tank

Maximize availability and minimize mechanic failure in your equipment and assets

After determining their current state, it will be possible to predict your assets’ life-cycle and make decisions that ensures the protection of people and the environment.

GIE GROUP counts with a group of professionals that will help you to:

»Determine whether structural components such as pressure valves, tanks, or pipelines are safe and fit for service.

»Evaluate how trustworthy your assets will be during a specific period of time, for example, until the following scheduled plant shutdown.

» Make informed decisions in relation to the operation of an equipment: repair, reclassification or replacement

» Schedule inspection intervals by assessing the remnant life of your equipment
