During the month of September, GIE GROUP carried out a survey of potential CIPS in offshore pipelines. This service is part of the preventive maintenance carried out on the submarine pipelines and allows to identify the state of effectiveness of the cathodic protection.
For underwater pipelines in the Argentine Republic, the «Technical Regulation for the Transportation of Liquid and Gaseous Hydrocarbons by Submarine Pipelines» is mandatory, which reference DNV OS F101, this Standard is for global use so this activity collaborates with the compliance and best practices in any subsea facility.
